Data storage systems
The data storage system is a set of hardware and software tools that provides storage and access to the necessary information. In the simplest case, a computer with a hard disk installed inside it (hardware component) and running under some operating system (software) can serve as a user storage system.
This method of storing data may be suitable for home use, but it is completely unacceptable in conditions, for example, a medium office, a retail chain, a large corporation or a data center, because it does not provide:
- secure high-speed multiple access, for example, employees and customers to a single database;
- equipment resiliency as a result of its physical wear, overheating or burnout;
- acceptable scalability of the entire system.
Solutions to these problems are presented in such storage implementations as DAS (Direct Attached Storage), NAS (Network Attached Storage) and SAN (Storage Area Network). As a rule, such systems include not just individual HDDs, but entire disk arrays, dedicated communication channels, server software components and protocols
We supply storage systems of famous brands Synology, QNAP DELL, Fujitsu
